For Lindsay

I’ve been writing poetry a lot lately for class and in jest today my friend Lindsay asked me to write her a poem.

For anyone who knows Lindsay, or LL, she’s all giggles and adorable, but she’s also an amazing friend of mine. I wrote this for her and decided to share:

trust in faith

crashing in, with giggles
sincerity of a grin
like a train
on a high speed course
of illuminating positivity
I was hesitant at first
faith in someone
I did not know.
tenacious problem solver
of life, love, God.
inspirational, yet honest
a facade not needed
truer to herself
than to anyone else
ample hands lend
limitless help
to those who have fallen
friendship created
off a whim
of trusting
when I thought I had none.
